Do you know what the secret of all blood bought, heaven bound, sanctified Christians is? To make up their minds that no matter what comes their way…..they will cling to him…….to their Lord and Master Jesus!!!!!! As humans we are tempted so often when our world starts shattering that we start to turn…..that we pause……and sadly we doubt sometimes….Lord where are you, do you not care????
I have been in emergency rooms where parents are distraught because the child has od’ed. I have heard the screams of a mother when they have told her that her child has been born still-born. I have seen the tears of a child who has felt unloved their entire life. I have seen the scars of depression that haunts and keeps in prison the soul of a friend….I have seen the wounds of a family heading for demise because of adultery or mistreatment………and in all these situation I have seen their foundations shake. I have seen their heart flutter, their energy, their fight leave, their heart grow heavy…….I have actually been there myself a time or two.
However, by the grace of God today I can say…..without a shadow of a doubt that I will not turn back. I will cling to him no matter what comes my way. In the darkest hour, on the highest mountain……. Even though in my human brain it seems impossible to overcome some of the trials, some of the trouble and mountains in my life…. I know that I know that I have been washed in the blood of Christ and all my sins are forgiven. And even though I may be tempted to turn, tempted to take the lower road…..I know that My God, My Father has great things in store for me … all he requires is that I be faithful and strive to live a life of worship…a life of praise……. A life that honors him.
