Okay honesty time……….How often are you tired? You might be physically tired, emotionally exhausted or just plains weary. If you were truly honest we have all be…came spiritually tired! Following Christ can be difficult at times and this difficulty can become tiresome.
Asaph, who wrote Psalm 73:26, a Temple Musician “My flesh and my heart may fail but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever”. He is fully aware that his body, his mind, his heart within his self is flesh…….He truly does not have the strength to face certain problems, he knew that his physical being had limits. A loss of a loved one, trouble at work, trouble forgiving yourself, trouble within the family unit, a wayward child, a long loss friend, being rejected, feeling unloved, not enough money to pay your bills, sickness in your body, I could go on on and on. However Asaph, knew who held the strength for him to be victorious of overcoming these things. He knew where his strength came to strong in every storm.
We today however want control over our situations…GUILTY HERE!!!!! It is so easy for us to become focus on our problems, our situations, and forget that our eyes should really be focus on the problem solver. Once we realize that there is so many factors in this life that are out of control, problems that we just cannot solve, sickness that is going to make us week……..then and only then we will start to open our eyes and look to hills…….LOOK TO OUR GOD!!!!!!!! We cannot be the God of our lives and expect miracles to happen……we have to accept and acknowledge that God is in complete control. Beginning to end there is not one thing that he does not see or hear. He sees ever tear that falls down your face, he sees the pain in your eyes even when you put on a “Fake it Face”. He hears every mother and Father who has pled deliverance from drugs, alcohol or etc….. He hears every single word that we udder he even hears every single word we choose to keep within. He is an awesome God!!!!!
So today take a moment……remind yourself that even when you feel like things are out of control…..in my case when you feel like you cannot just take one more step……remind yourself that God and God alone is your strength. God will equip us with the strength we need to not only survive but to excel in his purpose for our lives.
God wants to give you strength today, in whatever way you need it! Ask the Lord in prayer to supply your need. I did!!!!!!!!!!
In Jesus Name
Forever His servant
