Genesis 22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
Question>>>>>>
Have you ever been put in a uncomfortable place and quietly said to yourself….”God what are you thinking????? What good is going to come out of this? I cant possibly do this? “
Be honest…..I think we have all at one time or another thought that. There has been times in my life I have actually told people I have no ideal what God is thinking he is gonna accomplish with this. I remember in 2003 the day my doctor had informed me that my husband and I had lost our child. That moment the world…completely stood still. I can remember the anger I felt….wondering what in the world could God possibly get that there was anything that could be of any good come out of this situation. What is he thinking to allow this horrible thing happen? However, now that I look back I see that through that extremely rock bottom time in our lives….My Gracious God brought my husband and I through a trial that we had always told ourselves we could never bear. He brought me out a stronger and a more compassionate woman. He also showed my family and my friends that no matter what we have to endure….we will remain true to God. Plus He blessed my husband and I a year and a half later with the most amazing little boy, Tristan.
I truly believe with my whole heart…as with Abraham….that God just wants to know beyond a shadow of a doubt…..No matter the request, no matter the trial, no matter the pain, no matter the sacrifice that we are willing to lay it down, to give it all up and faithfully, wholeheartedly serve him with all that we have in us!!!!!!
Dear Lord,
Thank You so very much for infinite grace and the gift of Your Son. Please increase our faith by 100%. Lord teach us not to complain and murmur, yell and stomp like little spoiled children when things don’t go our way. We know that You test us to bring out the best in us, to perfect your perfect work in us His sanctifying process includes many growing pains. And God please give us strength that regardless of what you call us to do or what you call us to lay down on your altar that we do it in obedience to you knowing that you know what is best for us and that your have a perfect plan for our lives. In Jesus name. Amen!
